Product Information

MK 045 Master Thread Sealant offers a seal and lubricant for multiple applications that will remain pliable even after long use. The versatility of MK 045 is not found in any of the conventional lubricants. MK 045 resists H₂S, is used in temperatures up to >400°F (204°C), will service pressures up to 10,000 psi, and offers long lasting protection to coated parts operated over extended periods of time.

In general, MK 045 can be applied to threaded connections, gaskets, gear boxes, gear and chain drive units, draw works, direct rotary drives, stop cocks, wellheads, swivel joints and universal joints, as a pump and valve packing, and as an additive to truck rear ends. MK 045 can even be used to replace Teflon tape in the prevention of galling, seizing, and protection of the threads. Application: apply using a dope brush. For ultimate results, apply to both male and female threaded connections no larger than 2 inches diameter. As connection is made up, MK 045 will form an even film over the threads.
