Master Clay Stabilizer

MCS-2100 is a blend of a known and widely used temporary clay stabilizer (Choline Chloride) with a proprietary compound to enhance overall performance. The blended formula provides a more persistent control of clay and shale swelling and fines migration.

MCS-2100 is applied in aqueous fracturing treatments at a concentration of 1 - 2 gpt. At this treatment rate the product helps prevent clay particles from swelling. The product provides temporary clay and shale stabilization as well as providing some of the added benefit of more permanent stabilizers. MCS-2100 offers an attractive alternative to KCl and other liquid clay treatments. In drilling operations, our formula provides a persistent treatment preventing damage to water sensitive shales and clays.
