Product Information
MGS-2600 is a water solution of 30% sodium thiosulfate (STS) used as a high temperature gel stabilizer. The product is added to the fracturing fluids to reduce the loss of viscosity at high reservoir temperatures. The useful temperature range of guar based fluids can be extended to over 350°F.
Product Application
MGS-2600 is used in high temperature hydraulic fracturing operations. Depending on temperature, the product is added at a concentration of 0.1% - 1.0% in the frac water.
