Product Information
MHI-2930 and MHI-2960 are combination kinetic and thermodynamic Hydrate Inhibitors that will achieve sub-cooling of ΔT 20°C (36°F) preventing formation and accumulation of hydrates in flowing gas systems.
Product Application
MHI-2930 is recommended to be used in continuous injection applications. Typical use concentrations range from 500 to 5,000 ppm in the water phase depending on the severity of the problem. MHI-2930 should be used in more severe hydrate formation conditions. MHI-2960 has the same physical properties as MHI-2930. The only difference will be the application dosage. MHI-2960 is a dilution of MHI-2930.
Advantages
- Useful in preventing hydrate plugs
- Allows 30% to 50% less methanol to be used to achieve similar performance in hydrate prevention
- Not recommended for removal of existing plugs
